LeVar Burton Geordi TNG Screen Test Photo

Oh the gems that will be unleashed on our modern internet with the release of the Star Trek The Next Generation Blu-rays.

LeVar Burton: Geordi La Forge screen test photo, with interesting hair
Seems like all these things are going to need some TNG Season 8 humour to go along with them. How about this one:

UPDATE: 04/19/2018

Wow, ok, so we apologize for spreading some misinformation all those years ago - this was one of the other actors in the running for the Geordi job, Clarence Gilyard Jr. Confirmed by Mr. Burton himself weeks after we posted.

An Inconceivable Princess Bride Reunion

As part of a 'Totally Awesome 80s Week' on Good Morning America they got a bunch of the cast of The Princess Bride together.  80s week? Sounds like something some of our regular readers should be all over.

McFly 2015 Project must be crying right now - Nike Back to the Future shoes are real

mcfly2015.com - Did they make it happen?

I bet the guys from the McFly2015.com campaign from back in 2007-2008 are crying right now. Tears of joy of course.  Why?  Because The Shoes are real.  There was a campaign/petition back a few years ago started by the Maloof brothers (out of Montreal??).  Don't know where that went, nor what happened to them, but today Nike came through in realizing their dream.  Flurry of activity on the net after a mysterious video showing an animation of a room of shelves of the shoes appeared on YouTube.

And all the sneaker freaks out there? A tear and some drool too no doubt.  The ultimate retro/sought after/dreamt about shoe item of all time probably?

Nike MAG shoe - aka the McFly 2015 from Back to the Future II. What a time to be alive.

NiceKicks.com has been on top of it all day and has some good pics and previews of Mr. Michael J. Fox unveiling the shoe on Letterman later tonight. http://www.nicekicks.com/2011/09/nike-air-mag-officially-unveiled/  An auction and tons of proceeds to his Parkinson's foundation reported.  That's great.  What's next? Mattel and the hoverboard most would say.  It's not even 2015 yet.

edit, 09/12/2011 21:14 -- check out this promo video too from the mcfly2015.com project, buried but still floating around:

Early In Their IMDBs: Sarah Jessica Parker was in Flight of the Navigator

Flight of the Navigator - awesome 80s Disney sci-fi movie - had Sarah Jessica Parker in it! The cute nurse!

Sarah Jessica Parker as Carolyn McAdams in Flight of the Navigator
That's right, early in her career, as she started to skyrocket to stardom with a bunch of mid-80s movie roles, one we might forget is the role of Carolyn McAdams in FOTN.  She was the intern (nurse? whatever), at the crazy NASA facility that befriends the main kid character, David.  Anyways, point is, SJP was in this cult classic in those early days, and it even had Pee-Wee Herman in it (Paul Ruebens voiced the alien/ship under a screen name "Paul Mall"!)

More Pics:
Hi, I'm Carolyn McAdams
"yeah, I went to a concert with
some friends last night...,
{Who'd you see?}...
Twisted Sister."
--SJP rocks some '86 style
