Dog That Looks Like Chewbacca
This pic of a dog that looks like Chewbacca is pretty well known though I have no idea who the owner is etc. Chewbacca dog has been surfacing the past few years at halloween -- but this year's super reblogged pic has one modification: a Chewie ammo belt! Good stuff.

Pumpkin Smashing in Slow Motion
Not much to say about this other than Happy Halloween and the music is creepy! It's well done though. Give the vandal kids some good ideas. hehe
And title is 'Smashing Pumpkins'! It's like that band from Simpsons! :-P

Michael Winslow of Police Academy fame covers Led Zeppelin on Norwegian talk show
So, Michael Winslow, the "sound-effect guy" from the Police Academy movies is still around, and apparently big in Norway? Who knew?!?!
Anyway, nothing much needs to be said other than my Heath Ledger impression is like totally lame after seeing this.
But my Princess Bride clergyman impression... that still rocks.

Canadian, Please - oddly, not a drink request
So 3M+ views at time of this writing, and found via: Google Canada's Twitter Simple little tune will get stuck in your head and drive you mad, but for real entertainment watch the response video:
Sorry, JT - I never knew how much you suffered.
Harrison Ford Playing Uncharted 3 in Japanese Commercial
So Indiana Jones playing as Nathan Drake? And liking it?????? Old fuddy-duddy Ford actually likes a video game???? I'm surprised he wasn't telling those Sony boys to stay off his lawn, and the dozing in his chair by the fire. On a positive note, the John Williams score is now playing in my head and I will be digging out a fedora and bullwhip as soon I get home. Watch out Maggie! via: Topless Robot

On the other side of the screen, it all looks so easy
"On the other side of the screen, it all looks so easy." - Tron |
The animated gifs on If we don't, remember me do not, on the other hand, look easy at all. Nice collection of artistic movie-themed works on there.

Bad Lip Reading
Just when you thought the hardcore YouTubers couldn't come up with something new to do with audio/video mashups (see for example, Buffalaxing, etc) - check out Bad Lip Reading (BLR).
Recent political-themed work on Mitt Romney (below) and Michelle Bachmann are Comedy Central gold, while some older musical ones present equally wacky dubbing trickery.

Maybe a bit on the silly tip, but the production values are there. One comment was that the sad thing about this is that it's actually really *good* lip reading. haha. Not sure how any of these didn't come up on the Cheese radar!

An Inconceivable Princess Bride Reunion
As part of a 'Totally Awesome 80s Week' on Good Morning America they got a bunch of the cast of The Princess Bride together. 80s week? Sounds like something some of our regular readers should be all over.

Hello, Computer: Scotty uses Apple iPhone Siri Voice Assistant
I know some of you out there had to be thinking of this when Apple announced voice assistant/recognition technology "Siri" in the new iPhone 4S today.
Poor old James Doohan. Of course, pretty sure the computer in the scene there was a Mac as well (containing engineering drawings for transparent aluminum no doubt). If you wanna talk spacetime continuum, you can mull over how Apple is releasing this 24 years almost right on from when they 'envisioned' it as a Knowledge Navigator in 1987. 1987? What, like, after they saw Scotty talk into the mouse and marveled at the good idea? I'll just leave it at that.
