On the other side of the screen, it all looks so easy

"On the other side of the screen, it all looks so easy." - Tron

The animated gifs on If we don't, remember me do not, on the other hand, look easy at all. Nice collection of artistic movie-themed works on there.

Bad Lip Reading

Just when you thought the hardcore YouTubers couldn't come up with something new to do with audio/video mashups (see for example, Buffalaxing, etc) - check out Bad Lip Reading (BLR).

Recent political-themed work on Mitt Romney (below) and Michelle Bachmann are Comedy Central gold, while some older musical ones present equally wacky dubbing trickery.

Maybe a bit on the silly tip, but the production values are there.  One comment was that the sad thing about this is that it's actually really *good* lip reading.  haha.  Not sure how any of these didn't come up on the Cheese radar!

An Inconceivable Princess Bride Reunion

As part of a 'Totally Awesome 80s Week' on Good Morning America they got a bunch of the cast of The Princess Bride together.  80s week? Sounds like something some of our regular readers should be all over.

Hello, Computer: Scotty uses Apple iPhone Siri Voice Assistant

I know some of you out there had to be thinking of this when Apple announced voice assistant/recognition technology "Siri" in the new iPhone 4S today.
Hello, computer: Scotty talking into mouse in 1986 Star Trek IV.
Poor old James Doohan.  Of course, pretty sure the computer in the scene there was a Mac as well (containing engineering drawings for transparent aluminum no doubt).  If you wanna talk spacetime continuum, you can mull over how Apple is releasing this 24 years almost right on from when they 'envisioned' it as a Knowledge Navigator in 1987. 1987? What, like, after they saw Scotty talk into the mouse and marveled at the good idea?  I'll just leave it at that.
